October 29th 2023
On October 29th, West Glens Falls Fire was dispatched to a reported transformer explosion at the intersection of Upper Sherman Ave. and Taylor Street.
Upon arrival, Engine Rescue 311 reported a small working brush fire due to primary lines being down, along with said wire being across Taylor Street.
October 14th 2023
On October 14th, 2023 at approximately 18:10 hours, West Glens Falls Fire and EMS were dispatched to a reported residential structure fire at 24 Indiana Ave. in the town of Queensbury.
West Glens Falls' mutual aid plan automatically dispatched Queensbury Central Fire for one FAST to the scene, Bay Ridge Fire for one engine to the scene, and South Queensbury Fire for one rescue to the scene, along with South Glens Falls Fire to WGF Station 1 for standby coverage.
Upon arrival, Car 213 and Engine Rescue 311 confirmed a heavy smoke condition in the structure due to an appliance fire, but the fire was out.
West Glens Falls Fire command canceled mutual aid units, ventilated the structure, and returned to service.
October 8th 2023
On October 8th, 2023 at approximately 22:15 hours, Queensbury Central Fire was dispatched for a commercial fire alarm activation at the Big Lots on Upper Glen Street in Queensbury.
Car 215 and Warren County Sheriff's confirmed a working structure fire on the rear loading dock upon arrival. The commercial structure fire assignment brought one tower to the scene from West Glens Falls Fire, one FAST to the scene from Bay Ridge Fire, one rescue to the scene from South Queensbury Fire, and two ambulances to the scene from West Glens Falls EMS.
An additional request brought an additional engine to the scene from West Glens Falls, and North Queensbury Fire was requested to standby at Queensbury Central Fire Station one for coverage.
Units remained on scene for approximately four hours completing fire suppression, along with ventilation of the Big Lots store and Dollar Tree.
August 5th 2023
On August 5th, 2023 at approximately 22:58 hours, West Glens Falls Fire and EMS were dispatched to a reported residential structure fire at 14 Pine Cone Ave. in Queensbury.
Arriving fire and EMS units confirmed a working mobile home fire on arrival, and Car 210 assumed command. Car 210 requested his automatic residential structure fire assignment to be started, bringing one FAST to the scene from Queensbury Central Fire, one engine to the scene from Bay-Ridge Fire, one rescue to the scene from South Queensbury Fire, and one engine rescue to cover West Glens Falls' district in their Station #1 from South Glens Falls Fire.
Arriving crews were met with heavy smoke, but made a quick, aggressive knockdown of the fire. Crews then participated in overhaul and returned to service.

July 30th 2023
On July 30, 2023 at approximately 19:10 hours, West Glens Falls Fire was dispatched to a reported lawnmower fire with extension into the nearby trees at 50 Westberry Way in Queensbury.
Units quickly confirmed a working lawnmower fire, and Car 210 assumed command.
Crews quickly extinguished the fire and prevented further extension.

May 21st 2023
At approximately 13:50 hours, West Glens Falls Fire and West Glens Falls Emergency Squad, Inc were dispatched to a reported structure fire at 37 Indiana Ave. in Queensbury.
Our automatic mutual aid plan requested Queensbury Central Vol. Fire Company for one FAST to the scene, Bay Ridge Volunteer Fire Company for one engine to the scene, South Queensbury Fire Department for one rescue to the scene, and South Glens Falls Fire Company Inc. for one engine-rescue to standby at West Glens Falls Fire Station 1.
Engine Rescue 311 was the first apparatus on scene, and crews quickly extinguished the fire in under five minutes. Crews performed suppression and overhaul efforts, and returned back to service.

May 14th 2023
At approximately 04:45 hours on May 14th, West Glens Falls Fire was requested mutual aid to South Glens Falls Fire for a fully involved commercial structure fire at 22 Main Street, South Glens Falls.
South Glens Falls command initially requested one engine to the scene, and Engine Rescue 311 was on the road with a full crew within four minutes.
Upon arrival of Engine Rescue 311, command requested Tower 4 to the scene.
Members on scene participated in fire suppression and overhaul efforts for over four hours until we were returned to service.
April 13th 2023
At approximately 6:30pm, April 13th, West Glens Falls Fire and West Glens Falls EMS were dispatched to a reported residential structure fire at 908 Upper Sherman Ave.
Our automatic structure fire box requested one FAST to the scene from Queensbury Central Fire, one Engine-Tanker to the scene from Bay Ridge Fire, and one heavy rescue to the scene from South Queensbury Fire. Glens Falls Fire and Queensbury EMS were requested for standby ambulances due to multiple EMS calls in the town of Queensbury.
South Queensbury Fire Car 205 and Warren County Fire Car 4 were the first to arrive, and confirmed a working structure fire with all occupants out of the residence. Engine Rescue 311 and Tower 4 quickly responded to the scene with mutual aid units, and made a quick knockdown of the fire.
South Glens Falls Fire was requested to West Glens Falls Fire Station #1 to cover our district, and responded to one additional possible brush fire call during their coverage. Units remained on scene at Upper Sherman Ave. until 9:00pm.
April 12th 2023
At approximately 2:45pm on April 12th, West Glens Falls Fire was requested as daytime mutual aid for Brush 111 to the scene for a working brush fire on Feeder Dam Road in South Glens Falls.
While on scene, at approximately 3:25pm, we were dispatched for an additional brush fire at the nature reserve on Hudson Pointe Boulevard.
Upon arrival, Car 212 and Engine 312 confirmed a large, working brush fire. Car 212 requested brush trucks, 6x6s, and manpower from Queensbury Central Fire, Bay-Ridge Fire, South Queensbury Fire, Lake George Fire, and Corinth Fire to the scene.
South Glens Falls Fire was additionally requested for their boat to the scene to assist extinguishment from the Hudson River.
Units remained on scene until approximately 7:30pm.
March 26th 2023
On Sunday, March 26th at approximately 14:15 hours, West Glens Falls Fire was dispatched to a reported kitchen fire at 19 Barber Ave.
Upon the arrival of Car 210, heavy smoke was showing, and Car 210 notified dispatch that the fire had developed into a working structure fire. Per our automatic mutual aid residential structure fire program, one FAST was requested to the scene from Queensbury Central Vol. Fire Company, one heavy rescue was requested to the scene from South Queensbury Fire Department, one engine was requested to the scene from Bay Ridge Volunteer Fire Company, and two ambulances were requested to standby on scene from West Glens Falls Emergency Squad, Inc.
South Glens Falls Fire Company Inc. was requested to have one engine rescue standby in West Glens Falls Fire Station #1 to cover our district for additional alarms during the call. Arriving crews performed an aggressive interior attack and prevented the fire from extending further from within the kitchen. Additionally, two cats were rescued from the structure. Thank you to all of our mutual aid for responding and for their hard work! The cause of this fire is under investigation at this time.

February 26th 2023
On Sunday, February 26th at approximately 07:29 hours, West Glens Falls Fire and West Glens Falls Emergency Squad, Inc were dispatched to a reported structure fire at 68 Wisconsin Ave. in Queensbury.
Car 210 arrived and confirmed a working structure fire with no entrapment, and requested our automatic structure fire mutual aid plan to the scene. One F.A.S.T. was requested to the scene from Queensbury Central Vol. Fire Company, one engine was requested to the scene from Bay Ridge Volunteer Fire Company, and one rescue was requested to the scene from South Queensbury Fire Department.
Additionally, one engine was requested to standby at the West Glens Falls Fire Station #1 from South Glens Falls Fire Company Inc., and Fire Car 4 requested one engine from Lake George Volunteer Fire Dept. to the Bay-Ridge Fire Station. Firefighters extinguished the structure fire and performed extensive overhaul, returning to quarters at approximately 12:30 hours. Thank you to our mutual aid companies and standby crews for assisting us with the alarm, along with repacking hose. The cause of this structure fire is still under investigation at this time.

September 8th 2022
On September 8th at 5:46 am we were dispatched to a 1 car mva by 825 Corinth Rd.
As the Chief Officer's checked in route Warren County Sheriff's Office NY dispatch gave an update of a subject trapped in the vehicle.
Engine-Rescue 311 arrived on the scene and made short work of the extrication.
The subject was extricated and turned over to the West Glens Falls Emergency Squad, Inc .
Total call time from dispatch to units back in service was 1 hour. Great job by all!
